I am pleased to be able to offer All New Brunswick made Ocean Boards.
These special boards on which I add the resin oceans, come from the wood and the craft work of my friend Dave Thompson.
Dave and his wife Gwyneth Wilbur live in Elmsville, a rural picturesque countryside located in Charlotte County, New Brunswick. He owns a large woodlot which he looks after using his horses. He has a unique connection and respect to the forest that surrounds him and has been awarded "Best sustainable woodlot owner of the year" award.
Besides harvesting pulp and firewood with his horses, Dave makes beautiful one of a kind furnitures.
I am thrilled that he has agreed to supply me with boards for my ocean seascapes. Each board has its own special attributes including the shape and wood grain. Each board is from our N.B. back yard.

For all my adult life I have managed and enhanced a 200 acre woodlot with my many horses from over these years. I have created an “Acadian Forest” which simply put means diverse in age and species. This forest is my back yard and somehow, I have managed to eke out a living from this small woodlot. I log for fire wood, I thin for pulp wood and I save out the very best and most distinctive wood to dry in my barn until I can create something beautiful from it.
Every piece of wood speaks to me and has a place in my furniture building that is custom built to my customers desires and needs. I select for beauty and I select for strength. I also love combining different woods for their complimentary colors. Everything I create comes from my woodlot. It’s my way of giving back in reverence to the forest that I maintain and love.
